AS reported in last week's Deeside Piper, a new transport scheme has been launched in Banchory for those people who have difficulty getting to appointments or to the shops.
Project Office Manager, Cathy Torrance, would like to hear from new volunteer drivers in the Banchory area. She said: "We would encourage anyone who is interested in becoming involved with this project to contact the WRVS office for more information. Volunteering a few hours of your time each month may be all that is needed to make a huge difference to someone else's life."
WRVS Aberdeenshire Community Services Project's office is based in Inverurie and all enquiries should be directed there. The telephone number is 01467 626012 (Mon-Fri 9am-2pm).
